The Oz Revue is a band that performs classic soul, a little blues with a dash of roots rock – all with a funky groove that gets people dancing and stays true to what made the material classic.

Come see the Oz Revue and you will hear music originally recorded by Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Al Greene and Louis Armstrong. The beauty of the material the Oz Revue covers is that it excites aging baby boomers and young adults alike. It is not unusual to see a 65 year old and 26 year old, both singing into their beer bottle microphone and dancing with the same level of enjoyment. You may dig the band because they are performing material you grew up with or you could be relating to the sounds that came later from the Blues Brothers or the Commitments.

All of this is served up by a group of professional musicians that have the maturity to lay down a classic groove and the chops to perk up the ears of the musicians in the audience. All accomplished without impacting the integrity of the music made famous by the bands who backed the early recording artists. The Oz Revue can lay down a solid funky foundation that allows Oz to do what he does best - SING!

Oz has a performing arts background that includes performing in a Washington Talent Agency backed variety band and as member of the old school classic Go-Go band Experience Unlimited (EU). This experience taught Oz to engage the audience at a level that not many entertainers have the ability to do. Oz brings the show to the audience – whether he is crooning a couple at their table or getting a wrestles chair dancer up to dance with him. The connection Oz makes with the audience is evident in the energy in the room.
